Abandoned Babies
TLC - The Love of Christ Ministries began with the dream of a woman who had the desire to take care of abandoned babies.
Thea Jarvis purchased a farm, renovated the farm house into multiple nurseries, built housing for volunteers from all over the world, and founded a primary school on the property. She has established an excellent relationship with the social workers and hospital staff in the area, who in turn bring her babies who have been discarded in fields, toilets, garbage bags, etc.
The primary goal of TLC is to care for these babies until
they are adopted into forever families from around the
world. If the babies are HIV+, the staff battle to find
them anti-retroviral medication. If they are too sick to
survive, TLC offers them love, cuddles and literally a hand
to hold in their weakest hours.
Leur Présence connects TLC with families in Canada who
desire to adopt a child, with the hopes of offering a child
a family, and a family unsurpassable joy. We also send
volunteers their way!
